1000 Mile Bike Ride

I'm planning on doing a 1000 mile bike ride in September. The company i work for has offices across Europe so the plan is to start in germany and cycle through amsterdam, brussels, paris, london to Norwich.

The idea is to do it over 2 weeks and average 80 miles for a street children charity. The training will be harsh, i'm going to start cycling to work which is a 45 mile round trip...

Saying all that, I need to get a bike first...

Oh how i've missed the beats on Boss.......

It is unbelievable. It's a mixture of the retards you get playing there and a poor RNG.I'm on one of those runs that you can't help but laugh. I haven't won a flip in god knows how long. Some one just hit runner runner for the straight flush to be my nut flush on the flop. Just had QQ called AIPF by Q4 that hit quad 4's. Even when you seem to hit the flop on boss you seem to lose! As i'm only playing micro limits i just laugh at it!! There are some really poor players here as well that adds to it.

Away from poker I broke my metatarsal playing football on Sunday so am on crutches and have stupid boot on my right foot. I had scored a 35 yard screamer (shit goalkeeper)earlier but i'll now be out for the rest of the season.

It should be a busy few months anyway. I have a stag do and wedding to go to in Worthing in April and another wedding in May. I'm heading to the german alps in April for the weekend to see the sites and i'm planning to see my sister in spain with this bird i've been seeing in July. I'm also looking at going to le mans this year. Has anyone been? Any advice?

Do arsenal fans really care they didn't win yesterday?

errrr probably not

I don't understand some Arsenal fans point of view however. A few have said (after i laughed at their keeper and defence) that the same back 5 beat Barcelona. That's really not a good argument. Barcelona were poor and will still probably turn Arsenal over at the Nou Camp. It beggers belief that Wenger did not buy a goalkeeper in the summer or adequate back up for vermaelen.

In the same vain I think United could beat any team in the World away in any one game. However we won't do it enough times to win the champions league and we'll be lucky to win the league. We've done well to have home FA cup ties as well...

I don't mind Arsenal. Wilshere is a good player. I really don't think Arsenal will be that annoyed that they lost yesterday, however i can't see them winning anything else this year. Next year i'd be worried if they buy a decent keeper and a couple of centre halfs

Back on Boss and Rome

I'd taken all my money out of accounts and stopped playing then Virgin Poker sent me a free £5 promo through the post. Played a bit and built it up to a tenner and then played a V point free roll. It's actually a pretty good free roll! They give awa 25,000 V points and you can transfer 1 v point for 1p so the tourney has basically a £250 prize pool. It only had 118 runners and i finished 4th for £25. Should have done better apart from losing to runner runner for the straight AQ all in v K10 and then lost 99 to A7.

I then played one 30 manner last night which i binked so i'm sitting there with nearly £50 at them moment. Am only going to play MTT and MTTSNG and see how i do.

Am off to Rome and Venice for a week tomorrow which should be a laugh. Will catch Lazio v Bari at the olympic stadium in rome on sunday which should be good

Move forward or go back??

I've a dilema at the moment...

I used to work for a manufacturer of sign printing equipment and earn OK money. I then had a bit of serious life tilt and had to leave. Am now working for a massive insurance company on about half the money I used to earn however i'm well thought of and hope to progress through the ranks.

I have no the potential to go back and do the same thing as I used to do. The money should be much better than i'm on (but not the same as I used to be on which is understandable after life tilt) with a company car, iphone, laptop etc. The issue is that it'll be me and one other bloke working for this company so there will be no potential career development. The POTENTIAL earnings where I currently work are higher down the line, however maybe 20 people in the centre earn that amount out of 700 so is it somewhere I can earn that amount??

Am really unsure what to do... Do i just go to the money? Neither are jobs that anyone strives to do when they're younger so surely th emoney is important? Or job security.... Am undecided...

Enjoying the game

I'm enjoying poker for the first time in a long time (mainly as am doing OK)

Am playing the 18 manners and keep increasing my ROI and it's now at 40% after about 210 games (small sample size i know)

All i want to do is to keep playing well and keep increasing the number of tables i'm playing and games i play a day. Am going to stick to strick bankroll management as well and see how quickly I can move up.

All i want is to be able to make a few hundred quid a month. This month I am probably going to profit £75 on $1 games playing 10 - 15 a day so hopefully a couple of hundred quid shouldnt be too difficult
