It's so frustrating. I can win at MTT. I do really well and make a load of cashes and final tables and do well at SNG. I'm just throwing good money after bad though at the cash tables. It's impossible. How the fuck can you get past players like this:

You can't make this up. Doing a bit of digging on google on John Terry, it doesn't take too much work to find out about a promotions company called Riviera Entertainment who were promoting him to businesses for corporate work and sponsorship for the 2010 world cup:

Well i thought i'd be doing well in the sit and go race after playing loads yesterday but i just checked the leader board and am miles behind and lying 24th!! am going to give up!! I don't feel like playing low limit games where people call with things like this:



So am about 30euros down with the effort so not too bad. I never realised how much of a gap there was between games beofre. I have dropped to 1euro entry for the SNG races and its really hard to win playing the same way as i normally do. Peiople really do call with anything:



So will go back to my normal MTT schedule and the odd 5euro SNG and i really want to play more NL10 cash so will do that now and see how i do.

In normal life, haven't really done much. I might go and see avatar again tomorrow as i thought it was brilliant. I start work on the 15th as well which im really NOT looking forward to.

It's feecking HEAVING on boss today and all low level SNG players going all in every hand on HU SNG just top get the games over quickly to accumulate points. Last time Virgin did this is whas skin based and not network based... am doing alright points wise but am about -30euro so will need to win a bit to make this turkey shoot worthwhile...

Just tilted myself out of the WBCOOP calling when i knew i was behind tilted............ Was running high up in another tourney and got busted by hitting a STUPID 1 outer. At least i know when i shouldn't be playing as i'm going to give up for the night. I'll have a busy week pokerwise ahead anyway with this sit and go race starting tomorrow.

Casino RNG

I was speaking to my mate the other day who played alot of roulette when he was in Vegas and he bought up an interesting point about random number generators in online casino's. He said that when he was in Vegas he did this betting pattern or doubling his bets on the loss and betting on the 50/50's so he was basically betting the casino they couldn't win 7 fifty fifty bets in a row. Now he tried to do the same online and he lost a load. He then spoke to me about a fruit machine in a pub. They are gambling tools and are in now way random. They pay out a percentage of the money that gets taken in so they always win. My friend thinks the Roulette tables online are set up in a similar way, the casino's say that all their games are generated by some hi-tec randon number generator but you can't tell me the slots on the sites are random?

I did some reading up online on these RNG's and tried to look at the regulating bodies to see what they think. Thats where it gets a bit strange, the regulating bodies themselves do not actually check the random number generaters, they just need the random number generator to be checked by an "approved lab". The casino i checked had had theirs checked by a company called TST "Technical systems testing) and by pricewaterhousecoopers who are an accounting firm. They said that the RNG was "Statistically random". That just bought up more questions to me. How can something be statistically random?? Mainly they said that there were no patterns. Now if the lottery, that we know IS random, pulled the same numbers two weeks running then we would think it strange but as we know it's random it'll just be coincidence. IF a RNG did the same would they pull it and say that it's not random?? Surely part of a RANDOM number generator would be that sometimes the same numbers in the same sequence will occur?

At no time do i think that the casino's games are predictable, fixed, beatable by cheating AT ALL. I just argue the fact that they are as random as a roulette wheel.....

This is why i'm not going to play headhunters..

Useless wankers...I hate it i really do. What goes through peoples heads??? You get $300 if you win the fucking tournament and $2.50 per bounty. Why do people fucking call with anything to win $2.50 bounty when it's cost them $5.50 to enter the tournament in the first fucking place? Why bother???

Sit and Go Race

Well i managed a 4/330 last night in a MTT for aboyt £63 profit. Is so annoying finishing 4th as so near and yet so far, but got busted QJ suited against the massive Q10. Virgin are starting one of their SNG races again soon. Now i haven't done one of these for a while but the 1st time i did i came 1st to win a 32" LCD TV and the 2nd time there were 2 players, myself and M3monster who were miles and miles ahead of 3rd so decided to split the prize. I ended up with $4k that i was going to use to go to the WSOP but couldn't get a flight that close to the event so just took the money. With my bankroll the way it is i'll probably only be able to play the lowest entry races but should be pretty straight forward to win 500euro in the week it's on.

I went to see Avatar at the cinema today. I didn't know what to expect but thought it was brilliant. The story was good, special effects were superb, all good really. I did find the lead woman blue thingy fit in a wierd smurf loving way. She was sexy and not wearing very much and hard, but i suppose she is blue. She is fit in real life of course and played officer torres in The Terminal which, whilst being a retard scouse name, is quite a good film too.

Was having a laugh with a couple of nice girls in the queue at the pictures as well. There was a massive queue and i was behind them so i said something along the lines of "it is wednesday lunchtime isn't it and not saturday night?!" Then an old bloke started going on about how good avatar was so was having a laugh with him as well. iknow it's not much but i felt a bit more like myself for the first time in a long time, as this is the kind of thing i used to do, just have a laugh and start talking to random people...

41st in Event 2 of the WBCOOP

Am quite pleased with this. To add to the 45/1740 in the NLHE event 1 of the WBCOOP i finished 41/1634 last night in the PLO event 2 for another $16.50 SCOOP entry. I did hit some nice cards and i did go to bed with about 200 remaining!!!

I doubt i'll play anymore till the tournament timings get a bit better for european players.

Bored

Entered two tournaments tonight and spunked out of them both. I really don't know why i bother playing when i feel like this. Will play the PLO game in the WBCOOP tonight even though i'm shiiiite at PLO.

Away from poker i had a load of information to fill in for this job at Aviva. Now this jobs shit... it's in their call centre in Norwich for £14.5k PA. Now they have already completed so many checks such as a criminal record check, Credit check, last 2 years whereabouts check. They wanted me to fill in a medical form today. The first bit was standard such as "have you ever had a heart attack" etc. Then it asked "have you taken any recreational drugs in the last 5 years" and "have you had any drug councelling in the last five years". Now the answer to these are both yes but i'm not going to put that on this form now am i? They then wanted me to sign a form to get medical records from my GP. My GP was the first point of call when i had my drug issues so I couldn't really say no to the drug question on the form and then let them contact my GP. I ended up thinking that they can fuck off... It's none of their fecking business whether i have had councelling or not and i don't see how my medical records will help with a job on the phones. I typed NO in the drug questions box and didn't sign the consent form. I really don't want the job that much for all the shite they are putting me through.

I keep trying to get an answer about this job in spain but can't. I'm not that confident to be honest which will really upset me. After the last year with all the shit and jail and curfew i was really looking forward to 6 months away. I could have done with the money from a couple of months work at Aviva if i was going to go to spain but i'll just have to try and not spunk the 550euros in my Virgin account (and work out how to withdraw it as i now don't have a bank account) and use that.

45th in the WBCOOP

Well i did alright last night. I hit some nice hands early doors and got a nice stack built. I was running in the top 20 with 200 or so left and was around 30th when knocked out. I ended up losing a big pot all in pre with AQ v A6 and the flop came 966 then the very next hand lost the rest A10 v KQ when the flop and turn came 10 J x A. Can't argue though!!! I think thats a $16 SCOOP entry. I don't know why but i seem to do well in these tourneys. The first WBCOOP qualifier last year i came 3rd but then didn't come anywhere near for the rest of the week! The timing last night wasn't brilliant, i ended up finishing about 2.00 and had thought about sitting out and going to bed until I thought what was the point in that, after beating 1700 or so to be in the last 50 i should try to win. I really think my best game is MTT. I still make mistakes but on the whole i think i do well. It's frustrating that the only roll i have is on Virgin so can't play a whole load of MTT and multi table SNG.

Notice I have the same hand in both and lose both times, I think the most important thing i should learn from these is that i'm playing AQ badly. the 2nd time i thought i'd be up against a similar hand to the one i was so i suppose i read that right, the first one i don't think i've seen before though! It was one of those situations where I relaxed thinking i'd already won the hand on the turn and it made me do a comedy double take when the river card came!!!

Not playing

Well L4y's comment on my last post hit the nail on the head. I feel like i should be punished for ruining the relationship with my ex. It was probably my fault she left and then my life turned to shit, so even though i feel bitter the person i blame is myself and do punish myself all the time. It's really frustrating when it comes to poker, i could be £200 or so up for the month but am about half that due to playing when i KNOW i'm going to lose. the only thing this means is that i will lose as i am expecting to and then i get annoyed for playing when all i'm really trying to do is lose, but keep playing anyway.

I'm going to take a few days off from real money poker. I'll fire up the WBCOOP game on stars tonight. I managed a 3rd place in the first qualifier in this tourney last year to win 2 entries into the sunday million so hopefully i'll run well tonight. If people are interested, there is also a freeroll on stars for UK players only at 21.30 with $2k added prize money and about 4k entrants. 1st should get $450ish which is good for a freeroll and will run at the same time as the blogger tourney. You can find this in the tourney, regional section.

Am going to work out a strategy for HU SNG as well. Hyper aggro is the way forward here i think. The likelyhood of the other player holding a hand that can call a raise or re raise is slim so will raise a lot. Will post some hand histories when i play a few after some time off. Feel bad

Fell really down today. I shouldn't play poker when i feel like this so am about 60Euros down. I really do badly when i play in this mood. Its like i want to lose. I feel so angry and would just like to be playing infront of the guy whos opposite me at the table and punch him in the face. I have moved £34 out of V point account to cover the loss.

I hate everything and can't be bothered with life today. I hate it when i get in this mood. It reminds me of a quote from Batman the Dark Knight when Michael Caine is talking to Christian Bale saying that some people just want to watch the world burn, today i just hope everything turns to shit and burns.

3rd

Just finished 3rd in an MTT on Virgin for around 140euros. Went out in a pot for the chip lead AQ beaten all in pre by A9. The guy that won was useless. It's really frustrating to see him win. All in about 9 times and hitting stupid outs. his 44 beating 10 10 with a 4 on the river that would have put him out in 7th and loads of coming from behind to win.

Not too annoyed with 3rd though and that puts my profit At £112 for the month (was running about break even) I really think these tourneys are my best game. They are classed as MTT between 120 - 200 entrants so not massive. I think if i could play $5 -- 100 entrant SNG, they would be what i would get the best results on. My sharkscope stats at MTT are really good, with 97% ROI over 151 games.

Well played a bit today as i'm at home on my own and got fuck all else to do as i can't get anywhere. I think me playing long sessions is bad. I'm about 6 whole pounds up for the day which is rubbish. I was up more but i think i lose concentration to easily and play badly. I downloaded poker tracker 3 and have been importing hands into it. It was REALLY fucking funny, was playing a cash game and the PT3 HUD came on, now i think i know a bit about poker but if i'm honest, I had NO IDEA at alla bout any of the information that was on there... what does it mean?!!?

I really need to play shorter sessions i think and do something else during the day.

I get tilted so easily. I don't know why it is but it really affects my game. Have played a few games today and am around £9 down which is nothing but about half way through the session i got tilted and that probably affected my winnings.

The other thing i was thinking is that i really should be playing full ring SNG rather than 5 seater. A 5 seater pays 1 and 1/2 your entry for 2nd so you really need the wins. Full ring game pay double the buy in for 3rd and 5 x the buy in for 1st. Will give them a try I think.

Apart from that, mums gone to my brothers for the weekend and taken the car so i'm left stranded here all weekend on my own. Will just do nothing i think and play some poker (when not tilted) and try not to eat too much

5Euro

Well i started the 5euro games today and played 20. The quality isn't much different to the 3euro games but i was about £25 down. There were a few dodgy beats so am not too bothered, it'll bring itself round. Will try and play 20 more tomorrow night and then quite a few on saturday and sunday.

Should be getting a nice bit of rakeback this month too. Already its around £30 so should be £40 or so. I was down a bit before i started these games i'm doing well at so if i can make £100 profit including rakeback this month i'll be happy.

Still fuck bored during the day. Have started talking to a girl i used to know from school however and its really good catching up.

Well i spoke to a guy i know in Spain about work there this year and he seemed to think there would be work for me if i wanted. Just before i called him however I got a call from Aviva saying I had been approved to start there and they wanted me to start on the 15th February. I don't want the job at Aviva and a season in Spain sounds good to me but I think my mum wants me to "move on" and start getting back into the whole work environment and take the job. One of the reasons i want to go to Spain weirdly is actually to play more poker. I stay with my mum at the moment and Iknow she doesn't really approve of me playing so I only play a few hours a night. I want to try and talk to her about ROI etc and that if i just played for a few more hours i can earn the same amount (maybe..) that i could earn at the near enough minimum wage job in the Aviva call centre.

If i go to Spain I would really try and increase my bankroll to a point that i can use poker as a main source of income. Now i don't know if this is possible but i believe it is and i'll give my reasons.

So far I have played 179 SNG at 3euro entry and made £91 profit. Bear in mind the entry is in euro and the profit is in £. This has taken me about a week or playing around 2 hours a day so say 14 hours. Also i know that my sample size is not big enough however I can beat this game, not to sound too arrogant but i am a better player than all those i play against. Even if i don't move up limits and stay at 3euro games, if i play 35 hours a week then i would be profiting by £227 a week + Rakeback which is about what i'd get at aviva. I have played 3, 10 and 20 euro entry games already and they are not that much more difficult. So I think if i can get the hours in at 10euro games , i will be making more on a 10% ROI then i could do from work.

Or not... But all i know is that i want to try...

Viva Espana

I think i'm definately going to go back and work in Spain for six months when my curfew ends in March. I got called today about a sales job in Norwich for around £18k a year + commission but it really doesn't interest me. I tried calling an old friend who said they had work this season is Salou but they weren't in so i'll try tomorrow.

Went to the horse racing today at Fakenham. It was really good fun but didn't really win. Had to try and explain the odds to my mum, sister and her mate which was quite funny. It was things like "Which is better odds 4/1 or 9/2 and my mum said, i'm going to put £1 each way on a horse that was 11/10 and I said there was no point as you're risking £ to win pence as you get a fifth of the odds of 11/10. She ended up putting £2 on to win and the fucking horse came in second so i got a

It was a good day out though. I went to Newmarket a couple of months back and i think i prefer Fakenham as you can see more of the racing there. you can see nearly all the circuit from the grandstand.

I OWN the $3 SNG's

I have never really felt that I can truly beat a game until now. I know my sample size is small but I feel i'm by far the best player at the table when i sit down (i am only playing 3euro limit so only playing players who probably have just learnt how to play!). I read a blog post by someone who just said that you need to find a game you can beat and put the volume in so I've been doing just that.

I've played a 150 games of 3 Euro 5 seater SNG's in a week with the following results:

150 entries totalling - 450 euros + 45 Euro Rake = 495 Euros

1st = 10.50euro 2nd = 4.50euro

Finish positions:

1st - 38 (399euro winnings)
2nd - 41 (184.5euro winnings)
3rd - 30
4th - 26
5th - 15

Total winnings - 583.50

Total Rakeback - 13.50

Total Profit Including rakeback - 102 Euro

Which i think is alright and about 20% ROI if my maths is right? Thats not right is it i need to take off the rakeback.

Now i am a bit annoyed that I finished 2nd more than i did 1st so will have to look at my HU play. Ishould be good HU, well not good but better than my opponants due to the amount of HU sng i've played...

My roll is now around 480 Euros so only 20 Euros more winnings before i move up to 5euro entry SNG's

Doing really well at poker. Am multi tabling 5 seater SNG and for the first time ever i really feel like i can absolutely smash the limits i'm playing. Nice talking about it but i know i can put that volume in, its only 50 a day based on working 5 days. i know i could make 20% at 3 Euro so the only thing is whether the quality of players at 20 is that much better... i don't think so

Synchronised Gymming

Fuck it was embarassing today. I went to the gym earlier and it's usually quiet but the weight area was packed and the CV machines were quiet/ I did a bit of weights and couldn't be bothered waiting around for the bench so i thought i'd do some CV work. I got on a rowing machine and had been on there a couple of minutes when this fit girl walked down wearing lycra bottoms and smiled at me so i kind of smiled back in the best way i could when on a rowing machine. Now there are about 7 rowing machines in a row and I was on one of the end ones and she came and sat on the machine directly next to me. Of course once she'd done this i sucked my stomach in and increased effort to make it look like i was some rowing expert, but then she started. It was so awkward i can't help but piss myself laughing thinking about it. We were kind of rowing at the same speed so going back and forward in the same time which was weird, so i started going a bit faster but she must have done the same thing at the same time so we were STILL synchronised just going a bit faster. Now this kept on for a bit until it probably seemed like I was trying to race her, so slowed down and still found the strokes being synchronised.

After that I gave up and went on the running machine... She didn't come next to me again

Well i ran so bad in the 13 games i played tonight. I knew i needed a bigger sample size but think i'm now well under the ROI of 10% i wanted. 10% would be about 20 Euro and i'm on about 9 profit so its a big change tonight. I have got about 6 euro in rakeback as well.

Honestly ran so bad tonight and probably stopped a bit too late after getting tilted. I really need to try and stop when i find myself tilting and stop. There are some useless cnuts though at 3 euro stakes.

Will not play till tommorrow now. I've got 33 more games to try and increase my ROI to 10%. That works out at a total profit of 30 Euro so need to run quite well. Am going to play 3 x 100 games at 3euro and then move up to 5 euro if i'm hitting an average of 10% ROI and see how i get on at that.

Thanks for that LittleAcorn i had ben trying to find what people thought was a good ROI for DON games. I actually stopped playing the games on Virgin. I was playing the 10euro entry 10 seater games and they were full of regulars. Every table had 7 of the same players on so it was a bit stupid. I was down a bit so thought i'd find a game that suited me better. I don't like the way I was playing those games either. Not playing to win so folding hands you would normally play if trying to win a tournament.

I've now gone back to the games i was playing before, 5 seater SNG's. I'm trying to embrace variance and ROI and put in as much volume as possible to try and make a return as I move up limits of just 10% ROI. I've started at 3Euro as my bankroll is currently around 420euro so i was trying to keep at 100 buy ins so will increase to 5 euro at 500 but may increase to 10 after a couple of hundred games at 5 if i'm showing a good ROI.

Well i did pretty much fuck all today. I went to the library In norwich and got some books out and thats about it. United are shit at the moment. Nobody want to win the league and I can't see United winning anything this season. They'll play the nobheads against shitty in the carling cup and are not good enough for the champions league.

Yesterday I finished the latest Stephen King book called Under the Dome. I read a lot and have read all the Stephen King books. I enjoy them all however his latest books such as Liseys story and Duma Key were ok but not brilliant. Under the Dome however was fucking brilliant.. It's up there with my favourite books of all time like The Godfather or Lord of the Rings.

Am going to stop playing the MTT I play.The variance is too daft. I must have lost 35 flips or when really ahead in a row in important times of MTT. I'd be better off going all in at random times and trying to get lucky that seems to work for these lot i play against.

As the variance is huge my bankroll swings too much. I'm about £60 down so far in January which isn't too bad i suppose but quite a high percentage of my bankroll. Am just going to play $3 heads up SNG and 5 seater SNG.

And thats it for me blogging about poker. i might say I've been playing or i won etc but am not going to get into hands or how i'm running anymore because, to be blunt, who really gives a fuck? People might like looking at amatays or Ben Grundy's blogs to see the poker content or bluescouse when he was blogging but who really gives a fuck about me playing micro limit SNG or MTT?? Apart from me that is, who to be honest doesn't really give much of a shit about anything at all at the moment.

I think i've decided to go back to Spain for next season. Even if i get the job in the call centre here i'd hate it. I spoke to the prison today about extend the times of the curfew so i can work and they were wankers about it. My curfew is currently 1915-0715 and as it's shift work, would need the times changing to 0600 - 2300. They basically said they wouldn't do that and that i would have to call them every week and let them know what shift pattern i'm on. This means that if I'm on day shift they would extend the tag earlier but i'd have to be home earlier so all i'd be able to be out for is work which is bollox.

Am in a head hunter at the moment and have already taken 3 bounties so need to try and get some of the buy ins back and win for once. But i'll end up getting knocked out outdrawn like always.

Honestly the retards at these games. They hit to win a huge pot when they have 2 outs and you wonder why they called the raise in the first place. I have tried to evaluate my game to see whether i should be getting the money all in in those situations but then i think if they only have 2 outs then i am making the right move. I just have been beaten in around 30 of those in a row which is getting me down.

Edit - Allin pre AK beaten by A10 put me back in the pack, then lost AK v 66. I know its coming at the moment when it happens. As soon as i see AK v A10 i know the 10 will hit

Bored

I really am getting angry easily lately. I've never been one to be aggresive at all so get pissed of with myself. This really does transfer to the poker tables and i get tilted far too easily. I think i might stop playing for a bit. The only issue with that is i really don't have much to do. When i was in prison i read 60 books in the six months i was there and i read a lot at the moment, but i can't just read all day. Saying that i'm reading "under the dome" the new stephen king book which is a good at the moment. I only really play poker in the evening so really not long enough to be profitable to a high degree so might take a break or a few weeks.

I need to go for another meeting at this agency in Norwich about finding work tomorrow, It'll be a complete waste of time i think. The more i think about it the more i think i'll go back to Spain and work in a bar. Half of me doesnt want to do this as i think back a couple of years to when i was driving a brand new BMW and earning nearly £40k with a beautiful girlfriend and my own house, so do I want to go and wash pots in a kitchen? The other half of me is concerned about NOT going and thinking that there are more important things then money. You do get used to nice holidays and good things but then i suppose i can't get a job here because of my criminal record. I suppose i'm rambling now, but i have no answers to any of this in my head...

I really feel shit today. There's no point even playing poker as i am tilted already and don't know why so will only moan at useless french wankers and get banned from chat on boss (am already banned on pokerstars today)

I cant win at poker, got no job or money, no girlfriend, all my mates have moved on a bit and have houses and partners and babies so i've started thinking about whether i can be bothered with everything anymore.

Whats the point in just being fuck miserable and bored everyday. Even if I get this job in at Aviva i'll fucking hate it. I can't even meet women properly because to be honest, i'm not that bothered as the person I should be with has already fucked off. I would quite happily go back to jail for putting her new boyfriends head through the nearest window and would do this if I ever saw him (unlikely as they live in Melbourne, although i think about an hour everyday of flying over there) so thats all shit. The reason I got in the bother with drugs anyway was because I hated my life after she left, so now I'm off the drugs I just hate my fucking life again.

There's no light really at the end of the tunnel. Everyone keeps saying it'll be alright when my curfew ends in March, but what the fuck difference will it make? Everything will still be shit but i'll be allowed out later. The fucking funy thing is is that i've given up smoking, it's like I pile all the misery on myself..

Well it's now 18.17 so i have 58 minutes before the curfew starts and i've got fuck all to do so i think i might just do fuck all like i do every night.

Don't Know What to Do

Today is the 4th of January, the day I was supposed to start work at Aviva but haven't heard anything. Thinking about it, it does really interest me working there either. I could phone a competitor of where i used to work but that doesn't really interest me either. So i'm a bit stuck in a rut. Nothing interests me at all so I sit on my arse all day doing fuck all. I feel like going back to Spain and working in a bar again, however i'm looking at that thinking it wouldn't be good money and i wouldn't be able to save for a house but I don't know if I want that anymore.

I would like to play poker for a living but I doubt that will happen. It's always in the back of my mind when i'm playing which makes me tilt more when someone calls with 85 and beats my AA (see hand history in last post). It feels like everything is against me sometimes. I feel I know the game well enough to win consistantly, but when you need to win 6/10 to profit and you get the beats I got in the first 3 games then it's actually impossible to win 6/10 and profit.

I'm not sure what games pro players play to be profitable but it can't be double or nothing games such as HU SNG or coolers it really can't. I think i'd be better at 30 or 45 man SNG but on boss the player traffic is too low and I can't add money to another accont, so I might just play MTT or try and break even at HU SNG and put in volume for rakeback.

I've been trying to put more volume in and have been playing double or nothing 10Man SNG, which are piss easy. I reckon I should be able to win over the long run 7 out of 10 and am playing 4 to 5 at the same time.

Entry for 10 would be £110 and winnings for 7/10 would be £140 so if i can play 30 a day entry would be £330 and winnings of £420 giving a £90 a day profit from £10 entry SNG. I'd then also generate £270 in monthly rakeback..

Can you live on that? £90 a day x 6 = £540 a week??

I'm not sure i've actually had sex THIS YEAR... I was seeing a girl at the end of last year and we split up in the new year so i don't think I slept with her after new year. Christmas was alright as all my family were here. HAd a huge argument with a woman and her daughter who live round the corner earlier. They've basically stolen one of my mums cats that cost a fortune and she put it through quarantine which also costs a fortune. We know where the cat is and have asked them to stop feeding it and letting it in but they keep doing that so it basically lives there now. We have had it back here, but it's cruel to keep a cat locked in and everytine it leaves it goes back to their house so we don't know what to do. Today they came round saying it need to go to the vet. I said that it was nice you've basically had the cat as your own but come to us when it needs the vet. She started saying she was going to call the RSPCA to which i replied "Why because you stole our cat?" and she got arsy so i ended up saying "piss off you miserable old cow.."

More hands needed

Even though my last post says about not playing cash games, I need to play about 400more raked hands to qualify for the 10,000 euro freerole in a few days. Yesterday I fired up 4 tables of micro limit 0.02/0.04 cash tables and sat down with 4euro on each. I played about 100 hands between them and came of 18euros up which was alright. I had friends round last night so didn't play in any of my usual tournaments.

Today i sat at a 0.05/0.10 table for about an hour and played a 5seater 5euro SNG. I won the SNG for 12.50 profit and was 3euro up on the cash table. I currently 20/43 in a MTT with the top 15 paid so hopefully can do well.

I've realised I need to do far more volume when playing. Not more hours but more multi tabling. I fould 4 tabling last night alright and it might have helped. I really will try to play more tables at the same time. It went alright today with cash, SNG and MTT.

My brothers coming down with his wife and her sister tonight so it'll be a houseful as my sister and her mate are already here. It'll be nice to all be together at christmas for the first time in years anyway.

Entered a reindeer bounty on Boss which was a 5euro tourney with 1000 guaranteed and 503 runners. They added a 50euro bounty on Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner and Blitzen if you knocked them out.

I was sat next to Donner have a good crack about santa and was double average stack size. Donner went all in UTG and of course every fucker called. I had QdJd so called too and won!!!! So thats 50euro anyway!! and or course won a huge pot so am now chip leader.. x

I joined raise the river and have posted on there and have got some really good feedback and advice from people on there.

I played two tourneys tonight for a total of 9euro buy in. I tried being a bit more aggresive and was stupid to be honest. I busted out of both when i had healthy chip stacks. I need to try and be more aggresive in latter stages and not early stages..

I amup about 15euro for the day after sitting for 2o minutes at a NL20 table. The button had just passed and i was bored so i paid the big blind which i never do but couldn't be arsed to wait for the BB. I got dealt 88 and made a set on the flop and doubled up which was nice.

Am not going to play anymore tonight. In a few days Boss hold a 10,000 Euro freeroll for players who have played 1500 raked hands over the last 30 days. On average boss only has about 10,000 players logged in during busy times and when you discount the tournament players and free play players, I'm not sure how many people will play in this?! They do get 5,000 playing free rolls but hopefully there won't be many and I can do well.

I still haven't heard about this job at Aviva. They want stupid amounts of info in a pre employment check such as passport, bank statements, P45's, Criminal Record Check, Credit Check. Hopefully i'll hear soon and start in the new year..

Have played a load of MTT for about 9 hours today and haven't done exceptionally well... Final tabled in 1 and went out 11th in another which was annoying. I'm registered for a 1euro rebuy and the 3euro and 6 euro between 1900 and 2000 and including those buy ins i'm about even for the day so hopefully can go deep.

I need to go into Norwich tomorrow to pick up some stuff from Marks and Spencer for my mum and i have to get the bus... I haven't got on a bus in years.. Hopefully though in Marks and Spencer i'll see who i think is the most beautiful women in the world, even though she is french..

Aces Cracked Again

Well since the 4th in the 3euro MTT the other night, i final tabled the 6euro MTT the night before last but only finished 9th for a small cash. Last night i final tabled the same tourney and was chip leader with 5 remaining and lookinjg for the win. I got dealt AA and had that lovely feeling when someone goes all in before you. I call and he flips Kc9c and hits the flush. Even then i had about 5bb left over and got it all in with AJ against 44 and lost that flip too. Really frustrated.

I was having a look at my sharkscope MTT stats yesterday. What are good MTT sharkcope stats?? My name has a little shark next to it which I take as a good thing?

Doing things wrong

Well i realised a few things last night. I recovered from that hit in my last post to finish 4th in the tourney and ship 105euros which is both good and annoying at the same time. My problems at the moment seem to be tilting too much.

i read an interesting post at littleacornmans blog http://littleacornpoker.blogspot.com/ that made me think. I'm not really in a good place in my head at the moment in life in general. My attitude is then being transferred onto the Poker tables so i'm tilting too easily. My bankroll is now about 365 Euros so i'm going to play the 3euro tournament and try and build that up. I'm going to avoid the cash tables and higher buy in tourneys atm till i feel confident.

From amatays comment the other day I have also joined raise the river. From just reading peoples comments to other posts has helped me a lot, and i'll start posting there soon. My first posts are going to be things like:

1. To play only MTT, what percentage would you be looking at to win?
2. How many MTT would someone who wants to do it for a living play? (not that I can do it for a living, its just I have the time to TRY and do it as i'm not working)
3. How to build chipstack midway through the tournament in a low level entry/high idiot content with people calling a lot with trash. (I have been waiting for hands to double up/get paid highly however when you get sucked out you're out, rather than winning a lot of smaller pots.

I'm also going to try and learn more. Through reading books/blogs and posts on RTR.

I hate my life

I am so bored at the moment. It's difficult not working and i don't know where my future lies. I would love to be able to play poker for a living. I think thats why i get so pissed off with the beats when they hit. I drift from game to game trying to find one that suits and all the while my bankroll is dropping and dropping.

I think i'm going to focus on playing PLO. I'm going to put a few thousand hands in over christmas and see how i get on..

I'm also going to play less over the next week or so before i start hitting the PLO tables and try and learn a bit more.

One thing that concerns me is this: In a previous job i needed to speak to 300 people a day to get a certain amount of sales. After doing it a while i got to the stage where i wasn't doing that and realised i'd gone too far to be able to do it so left. I hope it hasn't got to the stage with my poker that it's so ingrained in me to play the way i do, which blatantly isn't a winning play and that i can improve

Take a break

I'm going to stop playing for a little while i think. I'm not enjoying it really at the moment and there is no point playing i don't think when you feel bad.

I seem to be getting dead angry with everything at the moment and i don't know why. I can seem to get motivated by anything and get bored doing whatever i'm doing really quickly. I'll go over to my sisters with my mum and get bored after two minutes and want to be back home and then come back home and have nothing to do here. My mum and sister are in London at the moment so i was at home on my own yesterday and did nothing. I played some poker but didn't enjoy it and keep getting so angry with the other players when they make stupid plays and get lucky. So i end up stressed and i don't know why. My roll is about 330 Euro now which is down from the other week but i still need to remember it all started from 13euros....

I had a few films on yesterday such as eagle eye, disturbia, GI Joe and District 9. They were all good and worth a watch, especially eagle eye

Interview

Well the interview surprisingly went ok. They need to do all the checks and if they come out ok then i'll start on the 4th January. The problem is that i told them everything that will come up on the checks but i doubt they'll hire me due to the bankruptcy.

On the poker front i'm playing so badly at the moment. i lose concentration and make stupid plays..

Am just going to play the 1euro rebuy and the 1000euro 3 euro entry tournament on boss at 7pm and 7.35 and play those till i increase my roll.

I really should start setting some targets. I want to try and win 2 tourneys a month and final table 6 times and try and cash in 40% of tourneys entered..

I really need to start keeping proper records as well..

Job interview

Well i've got an interview tomorrow at Arriva (Norwich Union). It's not the best job but at least its work. I'm dreading the interview I really am. Not the interview itself, i could do the job with my eyes closed it's just the amount of information they want. I can see the conversation going something like this:

Well i realised the games i need to be playing are MTT of anything from 30 people up. Virgin don't have enough of these due to player traffic so set up an account in my mums name on pokerstars and deposited a tenner. The MTT on stars have daft guarantees for low stakes entry due to the amount of entries so i entered a $2 tournament with $1500 to the winner and 480 places paid and 4700 entrants. I ended up being donked out in 650th in a pot fof the chip lead when my aces got beaten all in after the flop of 9 6 2 rainbow by QQ when the queen hit the turn. AAAAAAARrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg

I was playing some low level cash games on virgin and was up 6 buy ins at a 10 euro table so quit that up. I need to try and rake a bit more in the last few days of november to get into the top 10 rakers for the 500 euro freerole they offer, i'm 101st at the moment.

So i'm going to really hit the depositor freerole tournaments on pokerstars this weekend and regulaly play the 10Euro 3500 guarantee on virgin and a regular daily tournament on Pokerstars in the evening too. I'll also try to play the quarter million on stars and see if i can get to the million in a satellite. Saying all that though i have $11 in stars and won't be able to add anymore.

Change of Play

I really took a look at my strategy at heads up tournaments yesterday and drastically changed a few things. It's amazing how changing a few parts of my games has changed my results. Out of the 12, 10Euro heads up games i played tonight i won 11 and lost 1 and that was when i was 75% to win the hand.

My roll has now breached the 600Euro mark so am going to take a shot at the 20Euro games tomorrow and see how i get on.

Well job hunting is RIDICULOUS. I applied for a job with aviva (norwich union) and don't know wht i bothered. At the end it said it will do a credit check (will be very bad for me!) they will do a criminal record check (bad again) and they will check what you've been doing for the last 2 years (also bad). I then looked to get car insurance with aviva and they won't accept anyone with a criminal record for car insurance so i doubt they'll employ people with one. I had a meeting today with an agency that was supposed to help me find work. Instead they made me do a maths and english test and it was A JOKE. Questions like, what is the missing number. 8 + ? = 8 and what is half of 16? The english was just as bad, things like what word is spelt wrong? " I like this very mutch" It was a joke...

Am doing ok at poker. Have now turned the 13 euro i had into 515. I've been keeping more accurate records at Heads Up STT 10 Euro and am winning quite consistantly. I'm really going to give it a go at making proper money. I need to decide when to move up limits and also what MTT to play. There's no point winning 20 euro one day on STT and losing the same on tourney entries.

If i can (which i doubt) build my bankroll to 3-4k and consitantly win enough to get by then when my tag gets taken off in march i might just fuck off overseas and try and travel and win enough to take me on and on and on. That's the dream anyway. 500 Euro will probably be enough to get me to spain for a week so at least i have something to work from!!

Going Well

Well i can't find a job and the criminal record is a bit annoying!! My sisters back from Spain so am just spending time with her and my mum.

I have been playing quite a bit of poker. I had 13 euro in my Viegin account and have boosted that to just over 400. I'm doing really well in MTT at the moment. I won a 1euro rebuy and have 5 other final tables in about 20 tournaments, 2 seconds, 2 sixths and a tenth. I can't get on with heads up STT on virgin at the stakes i play i do better on pokerstars but cant get any money into there.

I was wondering, is it possible to play as a pro when all you do is play MTT??
